The countdown to Christmas is now only hours away. Days are filled with Christmas movies, snacks and wrapping sessions. We decided to break up the day with a little day drinking….Christmas drinks, of course!

From last year, we still had a bottle of Peppermint Vodka in our liquor cabinet. The peppermint flavor in this alcohol is mild….and we needed to pump it up a bit to make a yummier holiday drink this year.

Candy canes dissolve quickly (in a few hours) into the vodka and offer a great dose of mint and sugar into this martini-esque drink.

Once your peppermint infused vodka is ready, mix with an equal amount of Bailey’s. Rim your glass with crushed candy canes and viola – a yummy and super simply holiday drink.

WARNING: This is a REALLY strong drink and meant to be sipped. We recommend adding a little ice.
INGREDIENTS:
Peppermint vodka
Bailey’s Irish Cream
Six candy canes
DIRECTIONS:
Drop five candy canes into at least 6 oz of peppermint vodka and let sit for up to three hours. Once the candy canes have completely dissolved, mix 3 oz of the vodka with 3 oz of Bailey’s for each serving. Use a rolling pin to crush the remaining candy cane. Rim each glass with the crushed candy cane. Serve chilled or over ice. Enjoy!
