A very Merry Christmas…all year long

Welcome to ChristmasGals.com a festive and fun website dedicated to all things Christmas, all year long!

Some people may consider us crazy Christmas ladies (and they might be right), but we have too much fun shopping, decorating, crafting and creating Christmas memories.

We have known each other since elementary school! We’ve come a long way from Amherst Elementary though, and nowadays we are busy moms juggling work and kiddos and crazy lives.

Kindergarten pic from Amherst Elementary! Aren’t we cute?

Shendra is a mom of two wicked smart and adorable boys and Maureen, or Mo as everyone calls her, is mom to three feisty little ladies. We live only a few miles from one another, but there have been times in our friendship that we were oceans apart.

Time. Distance. Life stages. It didn’t matter. We have been friends through it all and now share a crazy love for all things Christmas. (We should also mention that we have two very patient and loving husbands who deal with our obscene amount of Christmas decorations!)

Last year, during a trip to Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland (yep, we will write about our trip soon), we came up with the idea of sharing our holiday ideas and Christmas adventures with others. Fast forward a few months later and here we are with ChristmasGals.com.

So what should you expect to find on this site and on our social media sites (follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest)? A little bit of everything! Despite being close friends for so many years, we actually have very different styles.

Shendra has a flair for the dramatic and a background in professional design and decorating. She is an expert at tree lighting and is always looking to build out new themed trees. From retro robot trees to the breathtaking upside down tree, there is really nothing she hasn’t touched with her magical Christmas touch.

Mo is the thriftonista with an eye for deals and a heart for traditional Christmas decor. With more than 200 antique Santa Claus’ (most of which she has acquired from family, antique stores or flea markets), she is always on the hunt for inspiring holiday décor and DIY projects.

Trees and decorations aside, we both know that the magic of Christmas really lies with our families. We can’t wait to share with you some of our family traditions and hear about your own special memories. Follow us! Comment! Share with others!

From The Christmas Gals, may you have a very Merry Christmas….all year long!
