12 Hobby Lobby picks this season

Hobby Lobby is a mecca of Christmas goodness with thousands of products just waiting to be plucked from the shelves and placed into your home.

Okay, maybe it’s not as spiritual or moving a place for you as it is for the Christmas Gals. But, we do guarantee that you will find oodles of Christmas goodness during your visit.

Hobby Lobby is one of the very first retailers to put out their Christmas ornaments and décor each year, typically introducing their selection as early as June.

The Christmas Gals have already been studying (and buying) Hobby Lobby’s offerings this year. We’ve procured a list of 12 of our most favorite items for Christmas that we’ve seen (so far) this year at Hobby Lobby.

DEAL ALERT: Hobby Lobby runs 40% off most Christmas items, week to week. Be sure to see if they are offering this sale before you go. If not, you can use their 40% off regular priced item coupon at the register.

#1 Oversized Santa ornament

$24.99 (sale price $14.99)

The selection of ornaments that Hobby Lobby offers is overwhelming. To find a favorite among the aisles is a difficult task, but this oversized Santa ornament stood out. No really, it stood out because it is ginormous!  The ornament is part of the Robert Stanley Home Collection.

#2 Christmas Bucket list sign

$19.99 (sale price $11.99)

Make you own Christmas list with your little ones and check it twice this season. This 13”x18” hanging Christmas bucket list chalkboard sign allows you to make the complete list of Christmas fun and decorate your walls at the same time.

#3 Nutcracker ornament trio

$24.99 (sale price $14.99)

These nutcracker ornaments stand 11 3/4″ tall.

Christmas Gal Shendra couldn’t pass up these gorgeous nutcracker ornaments. They have stunning colors, incredible detail and are quite large. This set is sure to stand out on the family Christmas tree this year.

#4 Glitter tree

$17.99 (sale price $10.79)

This glitter tree will be a great addition this year.

This silver metal glitter tree packs quite a punch and can serve as a stand alone decoration or a compliment to a small shelf or framed photo. It’s a perfect compact size (approximately 13.5”) so it will fit nicely in a variety of locations around the house.

#5 Navy glass bulbs

$19.99 (sale price $11.99)

We love the gold accents on these navy bulbs.

Navy seems to be all the rave this year in Christmas décor and the Christmas Gals are on that bandwagon! We’ve found that many stores are carrying navy and silver ornaments and decorations, but few are featuring navy and gold. These meticulously decorated bulbs offer a deep navy color along with bright gold glitter accents.

#6 Large Santa wall plaque

$59.99 (sale price $35.99)

This cheery Santa reminds us of an antique wall plaque, but less expensive!

This very large Santa head wall plaque is an echo back to several antique pieces we have admired over the years. Hobby Lobby offers this cheery Santa as a modern and much more reasonably priced option than the antique pieces, though.  At 20” tall, his jolly face is complimented by a rich red velvet hat and wire frame glasses.

#7 Gold cluster trees

$7.99-$17.99 (sale price $4.79-$10.79)

Gold cluster trees – buy one or the full set.

This is the second year that we have admired these gold cluster glitter trees at Hobby Lobby. Christmas Gal Shendra had already purchased two last year, and this year rounded out the collection by taking home a few more. They are a perfect way to add a little Christmas splash to a small shelf or tabletop display.

#8 Shatterproof Candy ornament

$17.99 (sale price $10.79)

Candy Cane Lane collection at Hobby Lobby.

Kudos to Hobby Lobby for offering a large selection of shatterproof ornaments and bulbs every year. This ornament, which is part of their Candy Cane Lane collection, is quite large and yet still a shatterproof offering for those of us that deal with small children or pets wreaking havoc on our trees and décor. This ornament was our favorite because of the size, the vibrant red and glistening white trim.

#9 Ornament pillows

$19.99 (sale price $11.99)

Fun and festive ornament pillows.

Hobby Lobby offers a great variety of the traditional holiday throw pillows that we all love, but these shiny poufs caught our eye this year. They are shaped like a bulb ornament and come in shiny, bright colors, offering a perfectly quirky addition to your couch or even a child’s room.

#10 Glitter sisel trees

$9.99 (sale price $5.99)

Set of four glitter sisel trees.

The Christmas Gals love sisel trees, or bottle brush trees as they are oftentimes referred to. Check out our blog about creative ways to use bottle brush trees. They can fill a mug, add color to a display or even line a window during the holiday season. Hobby Lobby has a selection of sisel trees in nearly every color and size, all reasonably priced. This set of 6” glitter sisel trees though were our favorite this year.

#11 Wood red bench

$25.99 (sale price $15.59)

This bench will have dozens of uses this Christmas.

We walked by this little red bench several times during our recent trip to Hobby Lobby without even noticing it. It was being used in several of the displays throughout the store to hold Santas or other décor. Eventually (and thankfully), we noticed this gem and immediately put it in our cart. This festive little bench is an ideal size to display beneath a Christmas tree or in a corner of a room. We are excited to see what we can create with it this year!

#12 Rooster ornament

$11.99 (sale price $7.19)

Photo taken with Focos

If you follow the Christmas Gals, then you probably already read the story behind the significance of having a rooster ornament on your tree. As the story goes, the rooster only crowed at midnight once, on the night that Jesus was born. The rooster symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. “Misa del Gallo” or the Mass of the Rooster is celebrated on Christmas Eve at midnight. This bright and beautiful rooster stood out as one of our favorite Hobby Lobby finds this year.
