Peppermint White Russian

It’s Christmas Eve and family is about to ascend on your house for the big day. The ham is prepped. The sides are ready to go. But what to drink?

In addition to the typical wine and mixed drinks, wow the visitors this year with this yummy holiday specialty drink….Peppermint White Russians!

I’m already a fan of White Russians. This Christmas version, though, kicks up the traditional White Russian to a whole new level of yumminess!

Most of the ingredients for this specialty drink you may already have in the liquor cabinet.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 shot (approx 1 oz.) Peppermint Vodka (regular vodka works fine too!)
  • 1 shot (approx 1 oz.) Kaluha
  • 1/2 shot (approx .5 oz.) Peppermint Schnapps
  • 1 cup Half and half or Whole milk
  • Chocolate syrup
  • Ice
  • Candy canes

DIRECTIONS

  1. Crush candy canes and rim your festive glass with the crushed candy canes.
  2. Coat the inside of the glass generously with chocolate syrup.
  3. Fill with ice.
  4. Pour in vodka, kaluha and schnapps.
  5. Add half and half or whole milk.
  6. Lightly stir and serve.

TIP: You can rim your glass by dipping the rim in water. I always dissolve a little sugar in the water so that you have a sticky edge.

WARNING! These drinks are so delicious they can sneak up on you! Drink responsibly, you have a whole day to enjoy!

Looking for a kid version? Use candy cane on the glass rim, coat inside of glass with chocolate syrup and serve with milk only.
