2020 Holiday Fiestaware

Fiestaware has been a staple in American homes for more than 80 years. The bold colors and durability of these dishes is the calling card of the Homer-Laughlin Pottery company. This year’s holiday series is a blue hued tree design on a bright white dishes. Classic yet modern. Beautiful yet durable. Dishes were to be available this spring, but due to COVID, we expect to see them at department stores this fall.

Holiday playhouse makeover

Think twice before you put away the yard toys this summer. This holiday refresh by Dreaming of Homemaking took a typical plastic playhouse to a whole new level of cuteness! Involve the little ones in the decorating. Kids will love to play in this Christmas wonderland, and you will have a new backdrop for holiday photos!

Very Vintage good read

Love vintage? Love vintage Christmas? Designer and Vintage Lifestyle Expert Bob Richter’s 2016 book A Very Vintage Christmas is a must have for your collection. Richter’s love of vintage, especially Christmas vintage is infectious and you will feel inspired to dust off grandma’s ornaments or begin a new vintage collection of your own.

Don’t cry over broken ornaments

As Christmas Gal Shendra says ‘if this Loctite glue can’t fix it, then it will never be fixed.’ Loctite Ultra Gel Control Super Glue carries the Christmas Gals stamp of approval (we just made that up). Not runny, so its easy to control. Dries fast. And is the only glue to use when trying to mend broken ornaments or Christmas decor.

Holiday fabric heaven

Fabric designs and patterns are oftentimes the inspiration behind so many of our home projects. We love local fabric stores, but for unreal variety and incredible inspiration, log onto Spoonflower. This amazing website has endless possibilities. And, the Christmas fabric selection, well its just jaw dropping. Spoonflower isn’t the cheapest, but we know first-hand it is excellent quality. Even better…you can choose the same patterns for fabric, wallpaper, even removable wall paper!

Stop back next month for our FIVE picks! In the mean time, follow us on Pinterest where we give more info and links for our monthly picks.
